CEVNI Test / CEVNI Exam

In order to obtain the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) for Inland Waterways the CEVNI test must be undertaken.

At Duck-2-Water the CEVNI test (CEVNI exam) can be taken on a test only basis if you already hold an ICC or you can take the test while attending one of the following courses: International Certificate of Competence up to 10m, Powerboat Level 2, Intermediate Powerboat, Advanced Powerboat, Helmsman, Day Skipper Practical, International Certificate of Competence < 24m, Coastal Skipper Practical, Yachtmaster preparation.

Course Type:

CEVNI Test / CEVNI Exam, adult course

Assumed Knowledge:

Full knowledge of the European Waterways regulations including signs, symbols, signals and lights. We can post you the European Waterways Regulations book and/or CEVNI flip-cards on request.

Test Content:

The test comprises of 14 multiple choice questions which if you are confident of your signs, symbols, signals, lights and regulations should not present many problems.

Ability After the Course:

Qualified to skipper a boat on the European Inland Waterways.

Expected Test Duration:

30 minutes

CEVNI tests can be schedule at anytime by prior arrangement.

Additional CEVNI Test / CEVNI Exam dates can be scheduled for groups of 3 or more.

Scheduled CEVNI Tests / CEVNI Exams are held in Southampton, Hampshire UK and in the Solent area.
