The RYA Helmsman two day practical course covers basic boat handling, engine checks and safety. It is ideal for the new owner who is conscious of the difficulty and potential hazards of boat handling in the marina.

Course Information
Motor Cruising, Adult Course
The scheduled Helmsman courses are held at Ocean Village Marina, Southampton, Hampshire SO14 3XB UK and in the Solent area.
Own Boat Tuition helmsman courses can be conducted in Southampton, Hampshire, Hamble, Portsmouth, Lymington, Chichester, Cowes, Poole, Isle of Wight, or anywhere on the South Coast, else where in the UK or in Europe
Course Content
Safety, helmsmanship, boat handling and introduction to engine maintenance.
Ability After Course
Competent to handle motor cruiser of a specific type in sheltered waters.
Requirements:
Some practical experience desirable. No assumed knowledge required.

Sleeping aboard one of our vessels is not normally available. Some of the above courses are deliverd by our partner RYA Training Centre who deliver the course to our own exacting standards.
