Course Information
The course consists of skippered passages by each of the trainees in a whole variety of situations. Designed for Tidal Waters.
The scheduled Coastal Skipper practical courses are held at Ocean Village Marina, Southampton, Hampshire SO14 3XB UK and in the Solent area.
Course Content
Safety, passage planning, pilotage by day and night, boat handling and emergency situations.
Ability After Course
Skipper a motor cruiser on coastal passages by day and night.
Requirements:
Pre-course experience: 15 days, 2 days as skipper, 300 miles, 8 night hours.
Navigation to Coastal Skipper shore-based standard. Boat handling to Day Skipper Practical standard.

Sleeping aboard one of our vessels is not normally available, especially during Covid-19. Some of the above courses are delivered by our partner RYA Training Centre who deliver the course to our own exacting standards.
Additional dates can be scheduled for groups of 3 or more.

Own Boat Tuition Coastal Skipper practical courses can be conducted in Southampton, Hampshire, Hamble, Portsmouth, Lymington, Chichester, Cowes, Poole, Isle of Wight or anywhere on the South Coast, elsewhere in the UK or in Europe.
Private and highly personalised Coastal Skipper practical training is available on a one-twoone basis.
